First Malawi Children Sponsored!
We are excited to announce that the first two Malawi children have been sponsored. IIf you would like to sponsor a child in Malawi, contact us at 800-848-2464 ext. 2206 or email us at cop@echildrenofpromise.org . Twenty-three (23) other children are waiting.
Kids Love to Write Their Sponsors
Sponsored children love to write to and hear from their sponsors. We always get excited when letters arrive in the office from the children. Recently, we’ve received letters from Costa Rica, Colombia, Uganda, and The Philippines. Our staff volunteer, Margaret Combs, will see that all the letters are read and organized, that photos are correct, and that both are mailed out by volunteers. Don’t forget that you can write to your child. Just make sure that the child’s name and sponsorship number are written on the letter. Then mail it to P. O. Box 2316, Anderson, IN 46018 (or email it to cop@echildrenofpromise.org). Another volunteer, Betty Vetor, will make sure that your letter gets to your child.
Sometimes, letters from the children, are delayed for reasons beyond our control. Recently, our director in Puerto Asis, Colombia, sent letters and photos to us twice – and each time they were returned by the Colombian postal service – mutilated and destroyed. She had to have the children write again – and had to retake all their photos. The directors work hard to make sure communication is regular. Thank you for your patience when there are glitches. J
