We learned today from Lonnie Murphy that her husband, Phil, and Richard Fields of Helping Hands in Motion, have  arrived in Haiti today on a flight through Missionary Flights International from Florida. They are safe in Port-au-Prince. Please join us in thanking the Lord that they have arrived safely, that the plane was allowed to land, and that they were able to enter the country.

Phil is planning to travel to the Church of God headquarters outside Port-au-Prince on Monday (January 18), if at all possible. Please pray that he will be able to get through the chaos and rubble so that he can meet with the national leader of the Church of God, Rev. Phyllis Newby. 

After meeting with her and assessing the situation of the churches, he will make the trip to House of Blessings and the community of Callabasse where he will assess the situations and conditions of the sponsored children and their families. Please pray that he will again be able to get through to these locations and offer support to those there, including the director of House of Blessings, Tanya, who oversees the sponsorship of six children at the orphanage, and Isaac Adrien, who oversees the sponsorship of 20 children in the community of Callabasse.
