Haiti sponsorship program liaisons, Phil and Lonnie Murphy, report that all of the children at House of Blessing and in the program in Callabasse are safe after the hurricane series that hit Haiti in the last weeks.

Linda Mason and Wendy Weeks are on assignment in Thailand, interviewing sponsored children and meeting with program leaders.  As always, children's stories have touched their hearts.

COP Sponsors and North Carolina Medical Team Visit Children in Uganda.  Medical checkups and personal interviews have been conducted with the sponsored children.

After waiting weeks for information from Myanmar, God opened the door for a telephone conversation between Dr. Paul Maxfield, Executive Director, Children of Promise, and the national leader of the Church of God in Myanmar.  The progress report could not have been better.  Rejoice with the Burmese people as you read this compelling account.

Typhoon “Frank” Fengshen hit the greater Manila area of the Philippine Islands on Sunday, June 19, damaging homes of children and the Grace Family Helper Project (GFHP) workers, Children of Promise in the Philippines.  Dr. Ofelia Viray, Director of Grace Family Helper Project (Children of Promise), Philippines, appeals for assistance.

On Sunday, May 18, Dr. Paul Maxfield, Children of Promise Executive Director, and Linda Mason, Children of Promise Associate Director, met for a second time with representatives of the Myanmar Church of God and Children of Promise program. The meeting was informative, encouraging, and disturbing at the same time.

Initial assessments indicate that all 200 sponsored children in Myanmar are alive; however, most of their homes have been destroyed. Help is urgently needed.
