Map of EcuadorEcuador is located on the northwestern coast of South America and is one of the smallest countries in the region—about the size of the state of Nevada. Ecuador is one of the world's most biodiversified countries in both flora and fauna.

The Andes Mountains cross the country from north to south. The eastern slopes of the Andes are completely covered by the Amazon rainforest, containing vast animal wildlife and vegetation. The rivers formed in the mountains by the melting snow of the volcanoes empty into the Amazon.

The Church of God has been in working in Ecuador for more than two decades. A Church of God seminary is located in Quito, and the work there is growing rapidly.

The Church of God began in Ecuador in 1985. There are now 11 churches and three preaching points in Ecuador. In 1995, Children of Promise began ministering there, and now has a ministry for children in eight of the churches. Some of these sites are located in the Andes, some in urban areas, and some in rural areas.
