Gilbert loved God, his family, and the family of God. He was cherished by his wife and life partner, Loyce. Rev. Thrush pastored Church of God congregations for 35 years. Gil loved fishing and food; his wonderful sense of humor and hilarious stories will be greatly missed.

Gil left a legacy of strong faith in God, and in His Son, Jesus Christ. He wrote a book entitiled The Mysterious Tenth. Rev. Thrush loved children; he especially enjoyed telling them stories and ministering to them. He loved sponsoring a child through Children of Promise and wished that he could sponsor 100 more.

It was his dream to be able to feed all the hungry children in the world. Although Gil was not able to realize that dream, this memorial in his memory will help Children of Promise to reach out further to needy children.

Love,
Loyce (wife)
Timothy (son) and his wife, Laurie
Daniel (son) and his wife, Chris
Timothy, Danielle, and Kyle (grandchildren)
